LIVE version of Youtube in the near future?

I read with interest the acquisition of Youtube by Google. Google has a penchant for new, exotic and elegant technologies. The purpose of Youtube is to allow users to upload video clips, which is then converted to FLASH format.

I figure in the near future Youtube fans would be watching LIVE videos instead of pre-recorded uploaded video clips. Nowadays, mobile communication technology is progressing at an alarming rate with supporting wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi. All that is needed is a digital camera that is able to record the event and process them into information packets that is relayed is via a processor, which is capable of a stable Internet connection, to the video blogsite. Nowadays, there are Internet mobile phones with digital cameras. Currently, there are platforms that provide LIVE streaming services for Flash and users can watch the FLASH format, albeit LIVE. All that is needed is for the ones recording the video to set up an account on the video blogsite and voila!

It will bring families closer together as the father working many miles away is able to watch LIVE pictures of his daughter's birthday party or the parent is able to watch their kid's graduation ceremony at the other side of the globe LIVE. It will be a boon for citizenship journalism as citizens are able to capture LIVE pictures and relay them to the Internet community. For Singaporeans who complain about not watching enough of opposition rallies, now they have the chance to watch it LIVE. It will also be a boon for those who desire to watch LIVE programs not shown in their countries. Suffering Brazilian soccer fans like me have yet to catch a Brazilian club match LIVE, after all Singapore is used to screening English Premier League matches.
